The Chicago Bears are just a few pieces away from going back to the playoffs. Getting a defensive back early in the 2020 NFL Draft could be their move.

The Chicago Bears were one of the teams that were trying to get back to the playoffs but just came up a bit short. The Bears defense was not much of the problem, it was the offensive side of the ball. Look for them to upgrade that side of the ball in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Chicago could not get the running game going with Tarik Cohen and rookie David Montgomery. When your running game is not working, the passing game is even harder to get going. The Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has seemed to be struggling last season, so they decided to manufacture a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Bears sent a fourth-round pick to Jacksonville for exchange they got Nick Foles as their new backup quarterback. The Bears announced this offseason that there is not a clear starter for week one, Foles and Trubisky are both fighting for the starting job.

When it comes to the draft department, the Bears are lacking middle-round picks. Chicago gave up a lot to get a game-changing outside linebacker two years ago, Khalil Mack; they also signed a very underrated defensive end during free agency this offseason, Robert Quinn. The Bears are really buffing up this defense to trying to keep this offense in games. It does not matter who is the starting quarterback for the Bears, this defense should keep the games close for Foles or Trubisky.
