The Cowboys have pieces around them to make a run at the playoffs but if they can hit on a few in the 2020 NFL Draft they could be one of the favorites

The Dallas Cowboys, Americans team, are one of the most complete teams in the entire league, well on paper they are. They are one of those teams that win the games that they are supposed to win and lose the games that they are supposed to lose. Dallas never really steals wins like that and the same goes to their losses.

Dallas lost a few key parts to their defense due to free agency this offseason. The Cowboys lost their starting cornerback Byron Jones to the Miami Dolphins. They also lost their long time tight end Jason Witten to the Las Vegas Raiders, and Demarcus Lawerence’s best friend Robert Quinn to the Chicago Bears. Long time center Travis Frederick decided to retire this offseason, which will hurt the Cowboys running game. The Cowboys also gained a few pieces back to with them win immediately.

Dallas signed pieces to help on defense in the form of former Panthers’ defensive duo in Gerald McCoy and Dontari Poe, former Ravens cornerback Maurice Canady and former Bears safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to help out the secondary. The Cowboys are missing a few pieces to make them legit contenders in the NFC East.
