Jacksonville Jaguars team preview before 2020 NFL Draft
The Jacksonville Jaguars are in full rebuild mode, but if they play their cards just right, they could walk out of the 2020 NFL Draft with superstars.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are in rebuild mode. Just a few seasons ago, they ran the tables were a few points away from going to the Super Bowl. Three years later, almost that entire team has either been traded, retired, or left in free agency; they have two first rounders in the 2020 NFL Draft to try and turn their fortunes around.
This year and offseason, the Jags have made some trades, they have traded defensive end Calais Campbell, cornerbacks Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye. The Jags have 12 draft picks in this year’s draft, which personally I see them trading some of them for future picks and players during the NFL Draft.
Is Gardner Minshew really the answer in Jacksonville? In week one last season, the Jags played the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs pass rush got to former Jags quarterback Nick Foles and hit as he was throwing the ball. Foles was taken out of the game due to a broken collarbone.
This offseason Foles was traded to the Chicago Bears for a fourth-round pick. With this, all being said, are the Jaguars a sneaky team to draft a quarterback in this year’s draft? If Tua Tagovailoa falls due to him being so injury-prone, you could see the Jaguars decided to pick him up with their ninth overall selection.
