2020 NFL Draft: Los Angeles Rams team preview before the draft
The Los Angeles Rams lost a bunch of key pieces on both sides of the ball, what should they do in the 2020 NFL Draft to get back to the top again?
The Los Angeles Rams are one of those teams that could run the tables and win it all but when the game is on the line or the game really matters, they do not come up clutch. They have lost a good number of players this offseason as they have cleared cap space, and now look to fill up their roster in the 2020 NFL Draft.
The Rams lost linebacker Cory Littleton went to the Las Vegas Raiders, edge rusher Dante Fowler went to the Atlanta Falcons, safety Eric Weddle retired, linebacker Clay Matthews was released and cornerback Nickel Robey-Coleman went to the Philadelphia Eagles. Michael Brockers returned, but only after a deal with the Baltimore Ravens fell through.
The Los Angeles Rams also made a move on offense that a lot of fans did not like, but it was the smart business move for the Rams, releasing superstar running back Todd Gurley. Later, Gurley signed a one-year deal to the Atlanta Falcons to link up with his former team Dante Fowler.
The Los Angeles Rams also traded away speedy wide receiver Brandin Cooks to the Houston Texans for a fourth-round pick, and gave a 38-year old Andrew Whitworth a three-year deal, fully guaranteed. What can the Rams do in this year’s draft to upgrade their team without a first-round pick?
