HAND PLACEMENT/USAGE (13.75/15):

While Samuel Cosmi does not possess a massive punch when initiating contact, he wins with his precise hang placement and usage. Extending his arms to keep the opponent away from his body, Cosmi lands his initial contact square into the chest plate of oncoming pressure.

If the defender allows for Cosmi to latch, he is able to tuck his hips, and dig in. This stalls any attempt for incoming pressure to counter his initial contact. He chops well as a counter to a move from the pass rusher, throwing off the center of balance of incoming pass rushers.

ANCHOR STRENGTH (8.75/10):

Cosmi holds the point of attack with a strong anchor against edge rushers, but he can be a bit overmatched by interior guys stunting to the edge. He plays with extraordinary balance as not to compromise his anchor. He digs his heels in to anchor with force, refusing to compromise an inch at the point of attack.

As a run blocker, Cosmi shows his strength as he continues to drive his opponents toward the boundary or up the field until he has an opportunity to finish them. Cosmi has a bit of a mean streak in his game, and loves to bury the man across from him.
