2019 first round pick of the New York Giants DeAndre Baker, as well as new Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar are wanted for armed robbery
In a wild story that broke the news late last night, two NFL cornerbacks are accused of pre-planning a cookout, where they then robbed the guests of money and valuable items. DeAndre Baker of the New York Giants and Quinton Dunbar have warrants out for their arrest in Broward County as they, and a third masked man, had three getaway cars lined up at this cookout after robbing the party at gunpoint.
Baker was the only cornerback taken in a weak 2019 NFL Draft class, as the Giants traded back into the first round to add their third player in addition to Daniel Jones and Dexter Lawrence. Quinton Dunbar on the other hand, is coming off of a successful season with the Washington Redskins, and was traded to the Seahawks this offseason.
While the details are still coming out about the situation, the initial details are wild. Apparently Baker and Dunbar had lost about $70,000 a few days prior, and this was their attempt to make their money back. According to TMZ, Baker and Dunbar were playing cards and gambling at a backyard cookout when the party took a turn:

"“Cops say the men began to rob party guests … with Dunbar assisting in taking watches and other valuables at the direction of Baker. At one point, cops say Baker directed a 3rd man — who was wearing a red mask — to shoot someone who had just walked into the party … but fortunately, no one was actually shot” (via TMZ)."
Baker is wanted on four counts of armed robbery and four counts of aggravated assault, while Dunbar is facing four charges of armed robbery in Broward County, Florida. The NFL, Giants, and the Seahawks have also commented on the situation, but all parties are deferring to comment at this point in time.
There has been no news of Baker or Dunbar turning themselves in, but it seems like there will be many more details that arise from this bizarre situation.
