Strengths

At no point last season did Lance look like a freshman, he was extremely assured in the pocket and worked through his progressions well, showing patience in waiting for a receiver to come open and the willingness to take off and run, which he often did to devastating effect.

Undaunted by pressure, Lance proved he can make NFL-level throws with pass rushers in his face.  Cross-field throws from the far hash-marks are of little difficulty for Lance, who has the touch when throwing downfield to drop the ball into a bucket over the heads of his receivers.

Lance takes little time to settle into a rhythm and exhibits an excellent rapport with his receivers on timing throws.

He is outstanding when throwing on the run, making consistently accurate passes on the move, putting the ball on the chestplates of his receivers.

Lance also possesses impressive improvisational ability and can reset his feet and scan the field after escaping the pocket.

A versatile runner, Lance rushed for 1,100 yards last season and there is little to suggest that should not translate to the next level. Lance is quick rather than fast but displays intelligent vision and elusiveness in the open field.

Rather than simply relying on contact balance to pick up extra yardage, Lance runs with authority and looks to finish runs by lowering his shoulder and knocking over defenders. His physicality as a runner may be a concern to some NFL teams who worry about injury with dual-threat quarterbacks, but it may convince others that he will dish out more punishment than he receives.
