Breakout candidate for each NFL AFC North team in 2020

Ravens: Safety Chuck Clark
It was not easy finding a breakout player on the Baltimore Ravens’ roster, because many players have already proven themselves in the NFL. However, safety Chuck Clark had an underrated year in 2019 filling in for the injured Tony Jefferson, who has since been released.

Clark will enter 2020 as the Ravens starting safety alongside veteran Earl Thomas. Being surrounded by Thomas, Marlon Humphrey, and Marcus Peters is a huge advantage for Clark as he looks to find his footing in a full time role in 2020 under defensive coordinator Don Martindale.
A former sixth round pick of the Ravens back in the 2017 NFL Draft, Clark entered the 2019 season with only two starts, one interception, and one pass defended. In 12 starts last year for the Ravens, Clark totaled 57 tackles, one interception, eight passes defended, and two forced fumbles.
The Ravens have put together back-to-back solid seasons that have ended without an appearance in the AFC Championship Game. If they look to make a deep run into the playoffs, they will need their defense to hold up their end of the bargain.
Look for Clark to take the next step in his career as a staple in this Ravens defense after signing a new three-year deal worth $16 million back in February.
