Villanova Football loses a duo of 2021 NFL Draft prospects to the transfer portal
As the 2021 NFL Draft has a ton of uncertainties, as does the season for FCS prospects, many are flocking to the transfer portal. The latest school to take a hit to their roster is the Villanova Football program, as Paul Grattan and Changa Hodge are now wandering for greener pastures.
Interior offensive lineman Paul Grattan was the first to enter
One of the top interior offensive lineman at the FCS level, Grattan had an obvious choice to make: either potentially push his season back into the Spring and jeopardize another season worth of film, or to transfer to an FBS school where he can put additional solid tape into his portfolio.

He will likely have plenty of suitors, and may not be in the portal for long before he finds a new home. Should he get into a power-five program, Grattan has an unbelievable chance to see his 2021 NFL Draft stock take a meteoric rise in 2020.
Changa Hodge followed quickly behind
Entering his last year of collegiate eligibility, Hodge is set to depart the Villanova Football program on the heels of his first 1,000 yard season. In 2019, the 6-foot-1 and 200 pound receiver caught 65 passes for the Wildcats for 1,118 yards and a massive 13 touchdowns.
Given his production, Hodge may not have a hard time finding a suitor either, but his chances of landing in a power-five program may be a bit more challenging than Grattan’s.
Regardless, this is a huge loss for the Villanova Football program, however, both players will now have a great opportunity to boost their 2021 NFL Draft stock as they move to a higher level of competition.
