Broncos: LeVante Bellamy, Lloyd Cushenberry making a splash
By Cory Kinnan
Lloyd Cushenberry, LeVante Bellamy are making plays for the Broncos
The Denver Broncos had themselves quite the great 2020 NFL Draft, and everyone has expected the fireworks to come from wide receiver Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler. The fireworks have, in fact, gotten the big plays from these two young wide receivers, but they are getting their fair share of excitement from center Lloyd Cushenberry and running back LeVante Bellamy as well.
Lloyd Cushenberry running away with starting job
The Broncos added Cushenberry in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and apparently he is running away with the starting job at the center position. At training camp, Cushenberry is now taking all of the first-team reps with second-year quarterback Drew Lock at training camp in Denver.

After a solid 2019 season with the National Championship-winning campaign with the LSU Tigers, Cushenberry went to the Reese’s Senior Bowl where he put together a solid week of film. From the Bayou to the Mile High City, Cushenberry is in the business of taking jobs.
LeVante Bellamy fighting to make Broncos roster
With the signing of Melvin Gordon, the Broncos bolstered their backfield in the offseason, but this did not stop them from signing Bellamy as an undrafted free agent. With Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman already on the roster, his path to making the final 53-man roster is rather cloudy.
However as training camp is going along, Bellamy continues to flash for the Broncos, so much so he may beat out Freeman for the last spot on the roster at the running back position. The former Western Michigan speedster is out for blood and doing what it takes to find his way onto the active roster.
The Broncos are looking to rebound after once again missing the playoffs in 2019, and the success of their 2020 rookie class will only help to benefit them. It’s not only Jeudy and Hamler, but Cushenberry and Bellamy are ready to make a name for themselves as well.
