Here are three 2021 NFL Draft prospects to watch tonight

We have live football again tonight as the South Alabama Jaguars are set to take on the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles. While we have yet to get to Power Five football, it is refreshing to see the pads popping live once again as 2021 NFL Draft prospects put their future on the line.

We may not see a ton of those prospects taking the field tonight, but there are certainly a few to keep an eye on. Here in this article we will identify three between the two sides who have the potential to hear their names called when the draft rolls around next April.

Before we dive in, we take a look at an honorable mention candidate who will not be suiting up, but has a ton of talent to make a push to hear his name called in the NFL Draft; maybe just not in 2021 as he originally planned.

Honorable Mention: Jacques Turner, EDGE, Southern Mississippi

Entering tonight’s matchup, the biggest name would have been Southern Mississippi’s edge rusher Jacques Turner, who would have been entering his Senior season with the Golden Eagles. However due to the ongoing health crisis, Turner has opted out of the 2020 season. As for his future, Turner will return in 2021 as a grad transfer elsewhere per his Twitter.

Turner will likely find some Power Five suitors after racking up a career total of 30 tackles behind the line of scrimmage and 15 sacks for the Golden Eagles over the past three years he spent with the program.
