In the introduction, we touched on how the Baltimore Ravens traded for Ngakoue from the Minnesota Vikings. However, we also mentioned that both he and veteran Judon are on expiring contracts along with  Bowser and Pernell McPhee. Unfortunately for Baltimore, there is only so much money around and not everyone can stay on board. Not to sound like a broken, but the Baltimore Ravens will have to make some tough decisions.

More from With the First Pick

Luckily for them, the 2021 NFL Draft class offers quite a bit of solid depth. There isn’t one true game breaker such as Myles Garrett or Nick Bosa, but there plenty of solid prospects that can provide quality play to a team right away while others have more boom or bust qualities.

As of right now , the Baltimore Ravens hold the 27th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. At this spot, they’ll likely be out of contention for Miami’s Gregory Rousseau and potentially Patrick Jones II from Pittsburgh. As such there are still a few prospects that they can target at that spot and with their second round pick later.

The first player that comes to mind is former Maryland native in Miami’s Quincy Roche.  At around 240 pounds and standing at about 6-4, Roche has great quickness off the edge and matches that with a good set of rush moves. He has the change of direction that allows him to flourish in the stunt/twist game, giving him a bit of versatility in pass defense.

If they miss out on Roche, University of Texas linebacker Joseph Ossai is a similar in size but a far more athletic prospect than Roche. Ossai can be moved off ball in coverage, and has more than enough physicality to give offensive lineman the works.
