The 2021 NFL Draft gets a massive offensive tackle riser

One of the biggest risers of the 2020 season is expected to enter the 2021 NFL Draft.

Virginia Tech offensive tackle Christian Darrisaw reportedly has his sights set on leaving school early and turning pro. In fact, Tony Pauline of Pro Football Network reports Darrisaw has already hired representation as he prepares for the main event next April:

"“In the lead-up to this weekend’s contest, I was told it’s about 80% the left tackle enters the draft.  Earlier today, a source close to the situation told me Darrisaw will enter the draft and has chosen an agent.I gave the junior a day two grade in my Virginia Tech preview over the summer, and Darrisaw has shown steady improvement in his game this season.  I presently have a second-round grade on Darrisaw, yet he may end up as a very late first-round selection.”"

What Darrisaw brings to 2021 NFL Draft

This 2021 NFL Draft class of offensive tackles has proven to be significantly deeper than initially thought. In a now talented crop of tackles, Darrisaw appears poised to be one of the first three off the board. After perhaps the best tackle prospect of the decade in Oregon’s Penei Sewell, Darrisaw is set to go toe-to-toe with the likes of Notre Dame’s Liam Eichenberg, Northwestern’s Rashawn Slater, and Texas’ Sam Cosmi as the next one to hear their name called.

He is big, long, and strong, making Darrisaw a scheme-versatile offensive tackle who can win in the phonebooth as well as in space in a zone scheme. He will likely test off the charts for his size at the NFL Scouting Combine as well, making him even more appealing to NFL teams at the next level.

Where will he land? Now we wait.
