Zach Wilson gets one more game before the 2021 NFL Draft

As the college football season is drawing to a close, bowl games are beginning to get set up across the nation. One of the newest to get announced is Brigham Young taking on the University of Central Florida in the Boca Raton Bowl. This means we will get one more look at quarterback Zach Wilson before the 2021 NFL Draft.

What does this matchup mean, and what does Wilson still have to prove as he goes toe-to-toe with Dillon Gabriel?

Looking at the 2020 season for Zach Wilson thus far

More from With the First Pick

Taking a massive step forward, Wilson has tossed an astounding 30 touchdowns on the season for the Cougars to only three interceptions. He has completed 73 percent of his passes, a significant uptick from his 2019 campaign, throwing for 3,274 yards on the season.

Wilson has the ability to throw from multiple arm slots, hitting throws into tight windows and to every level of the field. He has immense arm talent, and has plus mobility as well as he has the ability to extend plays with his legs and work outside of structure. There is a reason teams have been lining up to get their eyes on Wilson this season.

Where Wilson’s draft stock currently stands

Unless something colossal happens against the Knights, Wilson looks firmly like a top-15 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, with all probability pointing towards a top-10 pick. While this game will give professional teams one more glance at the dynamic BYU playmaker, his stock is pretty much as solid as it gets.

Next. Bears and 3 other fits for OT Christian Darrisaw. dark

He currently is in a likely battle for QB3 with the talented North Dakota State quarterback Trey Lance, but usurping Justin Fields for QB2 seems highly doubtful. With a large handful of quarterback needy teams at the next level, Wilson will certainly find a suitor.
