Ravens land Terrace Marshall Jr. and more in 7-round mock draft
Round 4: Pick 125 – Malcolm Koonce – EDGE – Buffalo
Early on this season, the Baltimore Ravens traded draft capital to obtain Vikings pass-rusher Yannick Ngakoue. Along with former teammate Calais Campbell and Pro Bowler Matthew Judon, Ngakoue has added plenty of juice to the Baltimore Ravens defense. While he only has eight sacks on the season. Ngakoue has done a good job at generating pressure on opposing quarterbacks.
However as mentioned earlier, both Ngakoue and Judon are pending free agents in addition to Tyus Bowser and Pernell McPhee. That leaves Jaylon Ferguson as the only Baltimore Raven on a “long term” deal. The Baltimore Ravens will have to make some calculated decisions this offseason as to who they keep and who they let go.
Without a third round pick, of which they shipped off to the Minnesota Vikings, the Baltimore Ravens take acclaimed Buffalo pass rusher Malcolm Koonce here in the fourth round. While only playing in a limited amount games due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Koonce has made every snap count for the Bulls.
Koonce has a nice first step off the edge, matched with good bend at the ankles and lateral change of direction ability. He relies heavily on the club/rip combo, which works well against tackles in the MAC conference. With a high motor to boot, Koonce is an enticing early day three target for the Baltimore Ravens.
