Trevor Lawrence makes it official with Jacksonville in his future
After a tremendous career with the Clemson Tigers, including a National Championship and a Heisman Trophy runner-up, quarterback Trevor Lawrence has made it official and will enter the 2021 NFL Draft. As has been projected as the top pick over the past three years since he was a freshman in college, Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars seem to be on a crash course for one another.
The 6-foot-6 and 220 pound quarterback capped off his career with Clemson by completing 69 percent of his passes for over 3,100 yards, 24 touchdowns, and five interceptions in 2020. Over the past three years, Lawrence threw for over 10,000 yards, 90 touchdowns, and just 17 interception; he has a career completion percentage of about 67 percent.
Looking like the best quarterback prospect since or even before Andrew Luck came out of Stanford in 2012, Lawrence will not have to wait long to hear his name called this upcoming April.

What Trevor Lawrence brings to 2021 NFL Draft
The real question, however, is what doesn’t the top quarterback in this draft class bring to the NFL?
He has the strongest arm in the class, plays with clean mechanics, can make throws to every level of the field, and does so with a great deal of accuracy. The Jaguars are getting a day-one starter and a prospect who has all of the potential to land in Canton, Ohio by the end of his career. Not only that, but Lawrence has the ceiling to potentially shatter the record book and see his name atop rankings for a long time coming.
NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah sees all of the potential in the world with Lawrence:
"“Lawrence has an ideal blend of size, athleticism, arm strength and toughness. He’s very urgent in his movement during his drop and he uses that suddenness to escape when pressured. Lawrence has a compact delivery, but he can adjust his arm angle and get the ball out even more quickly when needed. He’s able to drive the ball outside the numbers, and he’s also unafraid to work in the middle of the field. He flashes the ability to layer the ball over second-level defenders and in front of third-level defenders. He throws with excellent anticipation and timing.”"
This is just the beginning for Lawrence, as he is expected to get an invitation to the Reese’s Senior Bowl after graduating early. However, do not look for Lawrence to participate in too many pre-draft festivities as he is the most obvious first overall pick there has been in years.
