1. Look at potential QB of the future

With all indications leaning towards Brees time in New Orleans being over, the team has some big decisions ahead for them. Do they stick with either Taysom Hill or Jameis Winston who are already on roster, or do they look to free agency or the draft for their guy? Currently, it remains to be a complete unknown but we can gather some based on previous things the team has done.

Over the years the Saints have put a lot of effort into Hill and capitalizing on what he can bring to their offense. There is definitely a scenario that Hill remains the guy for the team, as he is the quarterback they turned to Brees out to injury. But if the team wants to look more towards the future they might get that opportunity.

Mac Jones is often talked about as a late first round quarterback, and the Saints could be his inevitable landing spot. Jones currently has the best opportunity to rise this week at the Senior Bowl and could cement himself as that fifth quarterback. This pick could also allow the Saints to sit Jones for further development while continuing to play Hill and increasing his trade value, or value for the team.
