Recently we have seen future Hall of Fame quarterback Russell Wilson come out and say he is tired of getting hit. He has been one of the most sacked quarterbacks of recent NFL seasons. So how do the Seattle Seahawks fix this? The answer is the NFL Draft. They do not have the cap to break the bank on offensive line help, so they need to hit hard and fast on the offensive line in the 2021 NFL Draft.

The Seahawks have one of the best quarterbacks in the history of the NFL and they love him so much they let him constantly get sacked. Though Russell Wilson does not think of that as love, more of them being completely inept about how an offense works. The star quarterback has come out in recent days criticizing the Seahawks in recent days about their lack of offensive line.

He currently had a hand in his next offensive coordinator, which should help out a bit in him getting what he wants. The Seahawks have a horrid track record of not only drafting but developing offensive linemen into competent players. The plus side this year is, outside of pass rush, offensive line is pretty much their only need.

With a somewhat surplus of mid-level, this should easily be addressed with their first pick in the draft, and if Wilson has anything to say about it the second one as well. While the Seahawks do not own a first-round pick thanks to the Jamal Adams trade they still have a second along with fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh-round picks. I would look for this number to expand as the draft gets closer or during the first round.

I would not count out a package of the second round this year and a second next year to slide into the first round for an offensive lineman. So let’s dive in and take a look at some logical options in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft and beyond.
