Corey Linsley – Center

Towards the latter half of their 2020 campaign, the Baltimore Ravens, or rather their centers Patrick Mekari and Matt Skura earned quite amount of derision from their own fanbase. While fan reactions can be warranted or greatly unwarranted, in the case of Mekari and Skura it was definitely the former. Skura, who came off of a devastating knee injury at the start of the season, was benched in favor Mekari. Both of whom had issues snapping the football in addition to struggles blocking.

While many fans have been pounding the table for fixing the center position via the draft with either Oklahoma’s Creed Humphrey or Alabama’s Landon Dickerson, they could look to add a savvy veteran via free agency. This could come in the form of former Cleveland Browns and Atlanta Falcons center Alex Mack. However, they could go for a cheaper yet still reliable option in former Green Bay Packer Corey Linsley

Linsley will be 30 in July and is also due a three year salary worth around $9 million a year based on Spotrac projections. This is a perfectly reasonable deal for a team with tight cap space constraints. Linsley has been a good player in Green Bay and currently ranks as one of the better free agents per Pro Football Focus.
