Jaycee Horn, Cornerback, South Carolina

Since the Jets will go offense with the second pick, the Jets could opt to go defense to help improve one of the worst defenses in 2020. With this pick, they can improve the 27th ranked pass defense with the selection of South Carolina corner Jaycee Horn.

At 6-foot-1 he has the size that NFL teams covet for defensive backs and is a very physical corner who played against outstanding competition in the SEC. Jaycee Horn, the son of former Saints wide out Joe Horn, finished his career at South Carolina with 101 tackles, seven tackles for a loss, and two picks.

Some people might say safety is more of a need because of the loss of Jamal Adams but Horn is cornerback three for me in the positional rankings for this draft behind Caleb Farley and Patrick Surtain II. The Jets have a couple of younger corners that they will keep and continue to develop such as Bryce Hall, Javelin K. Guidry, and Bless Austin but adding Horn will let a player like Guidry play in the slot with his speed.

If he was to slide to this point in the Draft, it would be a no brainer for the Jets especially going up against Josh Allen twice a year in the division.
