4. Brady Christensen, BYU

Brady Christensen was one of the best offensive linemen in all of college football this past season, protecting one of the most electric quarterbacks in the country last season. The BYU product was the blindside protector for Zach Wilson and found great success keeping the pocket clean. In fact, he was the top-graded linemen last season per PFF.

In pass protection, he shows good ability to get into his pass sets and mirror defenders. His bigger struggles often come versus the run. Christensen doesn’t have the functional strength to drive defenders out of gaps or turn them away from plays consistently. He will likely need to add more strength or mass to his frame to help with this problem as he will face some bigger and stronger linemen in the NFL. Overall, Christensen looks like a year one starter who could develop into a nice lineman with some further development. He will need to take the next step mentally in terms of awareness but the traits are present.

Christensen may not be an early-round pick but he is a solid lineman who provides great starting ability from day one. If the Chiefs don’t see value in their first round pick Christensen is just the type of tackle you want to take on day two as a plug-and-play guy. He may not be a round two pick either, but if the Chiefs either want great value or want to double down at a big position of need, Christensen is a great pick up with their third round pick at pick 94.
