2. Ben Cleveland, Georgia

I’m continuing the trend for right guards that could possibly replace Trai Turner, so with that, we have Ben Cleveland. Cleveland racked up quite a few accolades in 2020. He was Second-team All-America by The Athletic, Third Team by the Associated Press, and All-SEC First Team by the Associated Press. He’s not the athlete that Wyatt Davis either. Cleveland does not possess great lateral movement skills. He does play with a mean strike though. He showed the ability to play with decent hand usage and placement. His competitive toughness flashes on tape, especially on run-downs. He’s extremely tough and is a bully at the point of attack.

He won’t bring much versatility to the Chargers offensive line, don’t expect him to take any reps at tackle. With him lacking lateral movement skills, his ceiling is higher playing right guard. He has smooth pass sets and is quick enough to get his hands-on defenders in pass protection. This is a prospect who Austin Ekeler will love. He will open up running lanes because he’s quick to come off the ball and has good functional strength. Defenders have a hard time running through his chest. Cleveland has the potential to become an NFL-level starter.
