1. Eric Stokes, Georgia

The odds of Eric Stokes being available here at pick 56 are not high. If for whatever reason he slides to this spot, Seattle should be sprinting to get their card turned in to commissioner Goodell. His playstyle fits perfectly with what the Seahawks ask their corners to do. A zone-heavy scheme will bring the best out of Stokes. He possesses the ball skills to create turnovers, which is a huge improvement from what we saw from him in 2019.

He was recently clocked in at 4.24 in the 40-yard dash during his pro day. That’s an absolute blazing time but you don’t see that type of speed on film. Receivers aren’t running by him consistently but that play speed did not show up in 2020. In addition, he looked impressive in man coverage but more specifically when in press. He’s not afraid to get his hands-on guys in coverage but he can get too grabby and get himself in some trouble.

If you watched any part of the Super Bowl, you saw that referees in the NFL are not allowing much grabbing. Stokes has the tools to become an eventual starter in the NFL. Seattle can line him up outside and leave him in zone coverage. With his intelligence in zone coverage, Pete Carroll can get a lot out of this player.
