How he fits with the Saints, and what is his cost?

As the Saints sit with the 28th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, this aligns on par with the ideal range in which Marshall Jr. comes off the board. If the Saints are looking to secure the services of this dominant receiver, then short of a trade up, they will need to take him when they come on the clock on that first Thursday night.

Ian Cummings of Pro Football Network thinks Marshall Jr. fits the mold of the modern NFL well:

"“In the modern NFL, you can never have enough dynamic weaponry in your arsenal, and that’s exactly what LSU wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. will provide, potentially for a discounted price. Marshall Jr. has a rare size-speed combination, which inherently provides him a sort of upside that many teams should be in the market for.”"

Thomas, and now Marshall Jr. would give the Saints a dynamic one-two punch at the wide receiver position moving forward. While Thomas can dominate the short-to-intermediate range of the field, Marshall Jr. has proven to win at all levels, including deep down the field. As the Saints look to continue their winning ways, giving Winston his weapons is the right answer in New Orleans.
