Top targets for Titans in 2021 NFL Draft

The Titans will be sitting at an interesting spot at the 22nd pick in the draft, for the main reason their biggest needs may not be the best players left on the board. I would expect them to go on need over player ability unless a big-time wide receiver falls to them. But, as far as need goes with offensive tackle, corner, or edge they could have their pick of who fits them best.

The Titans will look at a corner or offensive tackle being the pick here as there is some great talent there, and after getting Bud Dupree at edge rusher in free agency I would not expect them to take one here unless an elite player falls. A wide receiver could be the pick, but the talent left versus the need at tackle and corner would not make sense.

Option 1: Eric Stokes, CB, Georgia

Stokes jumped off the paper on his pro-day with an insane 40-yard dash running a sub-4.4. He also showed general overall athletic ability as well. If this cornerback class was not so top-heavy he could find himself in the top-15 of the draft. His last year at Georgia he did quite well with 20 tackles, four picks, and four pass break-ups. They signed Jenkins, but he is not getting any younger.

Option 2: Samuel Cosmi, OT, Texas

Cosmi is a big man at 6-foot-6 and 314 pounds, a large man who shouldn’t run a 4.8 40-yard dash at his explosive pro day. He has great feet and hands, he’s quietly creeping up the draft boards. I would not be entirely surprised if he passes Darrisaw as the third tackle off the board. There does not seem to be an avenue in which Cosmi gets out of the first round.

Option 3: Jabril Cox, LB, LSU

Both are good options and would do well in that system. Also, with a head coach who was a solid linebacker himself, he could get the best out of them. Either of them could be had in the second round or Cox could slide into the third round, which would be great as they could fix corner and offensive tackle.

They would mix well with the pass rusher they have on the outside and be able to play in pass coverage, and attack the run game. The Titans have a great shot in the first three rounds to grab all their needs and not have to reach for anything.
