What holes are left to fill for the Bolts?

The Chargers still have a lot of holes to fill, though thankfully for Justin Herbert they are mostly on the defensive side of the ball. They have a higher pick in the first round so could fill any hole they have with a day-one starter. Which, let’s all be honest, is what everyone wants with their first-round pick.

Pass rusher and corner could be fixed a little if they end up bringing back Casey Heyward and Melvin Ingram. That could impact their draft, if they know they will sign them, but are waiting for the draft to unfold first.

A wide receiver might be the most interesting of these needs. They could be in line for Jaylen Waddle or DeVonta Smith from Alabama should either of them fall. Currently, they are throwing out Keenan Allen and Mike Williams as starters. Allen has started to solidify himself as one of the best in the game, meanwhile, Williams in four years has only played 32 of a possible 56 games.

So it would not be a surprise if they go wide receiver first to have a back-up in case of injury, Williams is also up for his fifth-year option as well.
