Not that long ago, the Seahawks were on top of the NFL world with the “Legion of Boom” and an up-and-coming quarterback in Russell Wilson. Those days are long in the rearview. Gone is the Legion of Boom. The Super Bowl window has — at least for the time being — closed. Now, it’s up to Wilson, Pete Carroll, and the Seahawks front office to try and recapture that magic, starting with the 2021 NFL Draft.

It may be a new era in Seattle, but Wilson is still at the forefront. He’s blossomed into one of the top quarterbacks in the game, but he can’t do it alone. Seattle is in desperate need of more building blocks around Wilson, and they have limited assets to work with in the upcoming draft. With no first round selections — and only three picks in the entire draft — it’s going to take some clever maneuvering and solid scouting to make the most of the 3-day event.

How can Seahawks make most of limited picks?

Seattle doesn’t come on the clock until the 54th selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, as it stands right now. They’re slated to miss out on Thursday’s festivities entirely, and with it a lot of the top talent. But as we see every year, there’s plenty of high-end, starter-level talent to be had on the second — and even third — day of the draft. What is it that the Seahawks need to push their roster over the hump and get back in the Super Bowl conversation?
