New England Patriots

The Patriots are now trying to get back to their winning ways, and inside linebacker is one of their bigger needs. Cox will be a good fit next to Hightower, and Cox will be able to stick with any tight end in the division if he is lined up there. His sideline ability and speed will make the inside of that linebacking core much more dynamic.

This might be a bit of a surprise move for the Patriots.

They have multiple needs and at 15 if they stick with the quarterback, they may look to adjust the wide receivers or offensive line. But, you can’t win if you can’t stop the other team from scoring points. He will be asked to do similar things that he did in college, and his speed should keep him on the field for all three downs.

Matt Patrica is back with the Patriots where he has a history of creating solid defenses.

If anyone can get the 2019 form out of Jabril Cox it would be him. This is great as there are some solid intangibles to Cox, just needs to gain weight and lose nothing. The Patriots taking care of this position early will net them an elite player without having to search later. The inside linebacker slot is not as deep with talent as other positions in this class, which should cause them to go up early and grab one of the more versatile linebackers in the draft.
