Arizona Cardinals: Offensive Line

Next, we will go to the second most disappointing team of the division. One could argue that the Cardinals are the most disappointing team after starting the season 7-0 and looking like the best team in the league at one point. After losing four of their last five games, they ended up being a five seed in the playoffs and would go on to lose (badly) to division rival Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card round.

So what does head coach Kliff Kingsbury need to make sure he takes this talented roster to the next step in 2022 and ensure he has a job there in 2023? This is going to sound like a broken record but the offensive line sure would help.

Even though the offensive line did improve a little bit in 2021, starting quarterback Kyler Murray was still ninth in the league in quarterback scrambles, fourth in yards lost due to sack, fourth in hurries, and tied for third in time to throw. Needless to say, the offensive line can improve.

Who the Cardinals could target in the draft:

As of right now, the Cardinals are picking 23rd overall in this year’s draft. If they were to go offensive line in the first round, a few names worth looking at in that range are Norther Iowa’s Trevor Penning, Boston College’s Zion Johnson, or UCLA’s Sean Rhyan.
