How would the trade go down?

Obviously, there is no player in the league that can match what Tyreek Hill brings to the table, as he’s arguably the greatest athlete in NFL history and a truly dynamic playmaker across the board. Although, Tyler Lockett might be the closest thing.

Not only are they just a year apart in age, with Lockett being 29-years-old and Hill being 28, but they’ve also played similar roles for their respective franchises since entering the NFL. As both are incredibly fast, agile, undersized, and thrive as two of the most dangerous vertical threats in football.

As a result, they hold similar yards per reception averages in their careers, with Hill averaging 13.8 YPR, and Lockett averaging a respectable 13.5. Not only that, but Tyler Lockett is also coming off a career-high 1,175 receiving yards in 2021 to go along with 73 receptions and 8 touchdowns. Which is particularly impressive given that his All-Pro quarterback, Russell Wilson, missed a good chunk of the year with a pretty severe finger injury.

In fact, Lockett is coming off the best three-year stretch of his seven-year NFL career, posting three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons while only managing to miss a single game in the process. He’s also accumulated 36 receiving touchdowns since 2018, which is the fifth-most in the NFL.

So, it’s scary to imagine what he could do with Patrick Mahomes as his quarterback, and Andy Reid drawing up schemes. It also doesn’t hurt that Tyler Lockett played college ball for Kansas State…
