2023 NFL Draft most likely top pick?

Pittsburgh Steelers

For some teams, drafting at the top of the draft is an almost yearly occurrence. The Steelers are simply not one of those teams as the last time they drafted in the top-5 was 1970, when the franchise took Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw with the first overall pick.

If they end up with the first pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the team will have the interesting decision to make with incumbent starter Kenny Pickett. The Steelers were smart to let Pickett finish out the season as the starter, giving the team ample information to determine if he is the right person to lead the organization moving forward.

If he plays well, the team could either move the selection for additional draft capital or they could take one of the previously mentioned defensive standouts. If he struggles, the team could look to move on and draft his replacement.
