2023 NFL Draft most likely top pick?

Carolina Panthers

Since taking over the Panthers in 2018, David Tepper has been on a never ending question trying to find a starting quarterback. A discard pile that includes Cam Newton (twice), Kyle Allen, Teddy Bridgewater, Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield continues to grow as the Panthers continue to find consistent play at the most important position.

The recent benching of Mayfield for former XFL standout P.J. Walker, who has played admirably in his short stint as a starter, will likely leave the team eyeing some of the quarterbacks expected to go at the top of the draft class.

Meanwhile, the team did decide to hold onto star pass rusher Brian Burns and wide receiver D.J. Moore, likely indicating that Tepper believes he is only a quarterback away from bringing playoff football back to North Carolina.
