Tariq Woolen

Tariq Woolen was a fifth round pick by the Seattle Seahawks and would finish the rookie season as one of the best cornerbacks from last year’s NFL Draft. He would start every game for the Seahawks and finished the regular season with six interceptions and 16 passes defended.

This will be Woolen’s third game against the 49ers this season and in the prior two games allowed only two receptions and 30 receiving yards on five targets.

However, in each of the prior two games, the 49ers’ offense has looked very different. In Week 2, they had Jimmy Garoppolo under center and had yet to trade for Christian McCaffrey. Then in Week 15, the 49ers had rookie Brock Purdy under center as well as Christian McCaffrey but were missing their top wide receiver Deebo Samuels.

Entering this game, the 49ers should have Purdy, McCaffrey and Samuels and this will put some pressure on Tariq Woolen and this Seahawks’ defense. However, if Woolen can force an interception or two, it could make this game very close.
