The Baltimore Ravens have been known as a running offense and the wide receiver position has seemingly never been much of a priority for this team. They did draft Rashod Bateman in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft and when on the field he certainly looks like he has the potential to develop into a good wide receiver.

Unfortunately, he has yet to play a full season after suffering a groin injury prior to his rookie season that forced him to miss the first five games. Then this season suffered a foot injury that only allowed him to play six games.

If Bateman is able to stay healthy, his return combined with the emergence of Devin Duvernay is a positive for the position but they could use another wide receiver for this offense.

The challenge is that this isn’t a great group of wide receivers set to be available in free agency and the best option would probably be Juju Smith-Schuster. He began his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers and showed a lot of promise but didn’t have the same impact in his final seasons in Pittsburgh.

However, he bounced back this season with the Kansas City Chiefs and had 78 receptions, 933 receiving yards, and three touchdowns. He could be a great veteran option to add to this Ravens offense that can lead this group and take some pressure off the younger wide receivers.
