Bryan Bresee would drastically improve the Los Angeles Chargers run defense

While I think the Los Angeles Chargers should use their first round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft on another playmaker for Justin Herbert, there are still some needs on the defensive side of the ball. The biggest is trying to improve their run defense after allowing over 145 yards per game on the ground.

One player that certainly could help is defensive tackle Bryan Bresee out of Clemson, who is the best at his position after Jalen Carter out of Georgia. This past season, Bresee had 3.5 sacks and 5.5 tackles for a loss which may not seem notable but this was after suffering a torn ACL in 2021.

Bresee is a player that can make an impact both against the run but also put pressure on the quarterback. By adding him in the middle of this defensive line with Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack on either side, they can create a very good defensive line that will cause opposing quarterbacks problems in the AFC West.
