Pick No. 7: Todd Gurley (Georgia)

With the seventh pick in the NFL Draft, the St. Louis Rams select Todd Gurley from the Georgia Bulldogs. Losing Steven Jackson a couple of years ago really hurt the Rams as they still haven’t replaced him. Quarterback Sam Bradford is still in a big contract and if for some reason he’s unhealthy again next year, Austin Davis looks capable.

Their defense is tough, the offensive line is solid and there are playmakers over there at the wide receiver position. So all the Rams need to compete in that really tough NFC West is a great running back and Gurley is one of those. It’s been a cool minute since a running back has been taken that high but if this pick is made. the could win the NFL’s toughest division.
