Pruitt’s Day

At the combine on Friday morning, Pruitt showed that he’s ahead of the class in terms of athleticism. He ran the fastest time of all the tight ends with a 4.58 in the 40 to raise some eyebrows. He also had the highest vertical leap at his position with a 38-inch explosion off the Lucas Oil Stadium turf.

Continuing show off his athletic ability, Pruitt had a 9-foot, 10-inch broad jump, good for fourth place. Pruitt ran his 20-yard shuttle in 4.37 seconds and his 60-yard shuttle in 11.85 seconds, good for third place on both drills. The only drill that he wasn’t so hot in was the bench press, where he had only 17 reps.

Pruitt looked good in his position drills too, running good routes and catching the ball well. He’s a little on the short side at 6’2″ but has solid overall size at 251 pounds with a good build. His arms are pretty long at 33 1/2 inches and huge mitts (hands) at 10 1/4 inches.
