Winston haters will hate but Winston went to the combine and widened that gap between himself and Mariota. And it’s not because Mariota is bad, Winston is just the most pro ready prospect in the draft period. He made the scouting media feel much more comfortable about where his head is so they can’t even mark him down as much for that.
He knew what Mariucci was saying so well about the Xs and Os, he was animated and enthusiastic with his answers. You had to notice that they didn’t do such a thing with Mariota because he doesn’t understand it like that. I think Mariota is going to be great but Winston will be better because he’s ready now and all he’s going to do is get better.
Mariota isn’t the only one with upside.
Don’t forget that Winston won’t be distracted by baseball season anymore.
