The Indianapolis Colts brought in a pair of impact veterans in Frank Gore and Andre Johnson but now turn their attention to adding younger talent through the NFL Draft.
For more on the Colts’ needs and general outlook on the 2015 NFL Draft, I got together with Evan Reller of Horseshoe Heroes. Below are my questions followed by his answers.

1. How have the team’s draft needs changed since free agency opened?
"The Colts have managed to address a few teams needs at least for the short term. They essentially shortened the list of needs heading into 2015 and can spend a few picks in the draft on depth players for the future."
2. What would you say are the top three needs remaining?
"Safety is the primary need as the team currently has just one starter (Mike Adams, who’s also 34). The team also needs help along the defensive line at both tackle and end positions. The Colts could also use depth at running back with Frank Gore likely having just a year or two left and the other players being unproven or oft injured."
3. Are there any prospects that have caught your eye so far?
"Alabama safety Landon Collins would be an ideal fit for the Colts. It certainly doesn’t help that the team’s biggest need is also the weakest position in the draft. They would likely have to trade up to get him as its doubtful he’ll fall to 29th."
4. What do you think would make for a successful draft for your team?
"The Colts have to nail this draft. GM Ryan Grigson hasn’t had much success outside of the 2012 class and the team has gotten much older this offseason. The Colts have to start finding quality players in the draft as the cap space will be shrinking in the next couple years."
5. So much draft focus often goes to the first few rounds, but is there something you’d like to see your team do in the later rounds?
"They’ll need to find a running back in later rounds (which this is a great draft for) and could use more depth in the secondary. If they could find a dominant defensive lineman or a long term option at nose tackle, that would be outstanding."
