  • 1. How have the team’s draft needs changed since free agency opened?

"The team needs to add a running back to the roster and may be at the top of the list with Ryan Mathews heading to Philadelphia. The team could take Melvin Gordon in the first round of the draft if he is still available when the team makes the selection. The team still could use another offensive line man and help on the defensive front seven."

    2. What would you say are the top three needs remaining?

"Running back, pass rusher, right guard"

    3. Are there any prospects that have caught your eye so far?

"Melvin Gordon is a player that is very intriguing for the San Diego Chargers. He would give the team a top back that can take the ball often. The Chargers could start leaning on the run game a little more this season to take the pressure off of Philip Rivers and the defense. The ball control offense helped a couple of seasons ago, but the team was unable to do it last year with Ryan Mathews sitting on the sideline for most of the season."

    4. What do you think would make for a successful draft for your team?

"Bring in a solid offensive lineman and running back and this team will be able to move the ball down the field. Get Philip Rivers the time to throw the football and we should be good to go on offense."

    5. So much draft focus often goes to the first few rounds, but is there something you’d like to see your team do in the later rounds?

"The team needs to make some good picks later in the draft. A lot of the selections later in the draft have been wasted and the team has not gotten a lot of pieces from late draft picks."
