4th Round, No. 119 overall- Tarell Basham, Edge, Ohio

Tarell Basham is an under-the-radar defensive prospect who has a lot of potential as a pass rusher. He had a terrific career at Ohio and showed during the NFL Combine that he has the athleticism to develop into a playmaker.

He fits the Eagles who are looking for depth at defensive end after releasing Connor Barwin. Basham would work behind Brandon Graham and Vinny Curry. Those two would get a majority of the reps with Basham part of the rotation.

This would allow Basham to develop while not being thrusted into the starting lineup.

4th Round, No. 139 overall (via Clev)- Dalvin Tomlinson, DT, Alabama

Philadelphia is facing the possibility of losing nose tackle Bennie Logan in free agency. His loss would mean the Eagles need to find someone else to do the dirty work along the defensive line. Logan would often be the guy occupying blockers so Fletcher Cox could penetrate the pocket.

Alabama’s Dalvin Tomlinson would be a solid replacement because he has experience playing a similar role. During his college career, he was often asked to occupy blockers and hold at the point of attack. This freed up the linebackers and quicker defensive linemen to pursue the football.
