Jaguars vs Jets: Game Pick – Jags try to ground Jets

The 2-1 Jacksonville Jaguars go on the road to take on the 1-2 New York Jets in week 4.  Here is the pick for Jaguars vs Jets.

The New York Jets and the Jacksonville Jaguars are both coming off blow out wins in week 3.  The Jags dominated the Baltimore Ravens in London, while the Jets surprised the Miami Dolphins 20-7.  But there won’t be any surprises in Jaguars vs Jets.  Each team knows the other is capable of winning.

The Jaguars got a great performance from quarterback Blake Bortles in London.  He picked apart a very good Ravens defense and now looks to build upon that effort.  But first they must establish the run and the Jets defense is among the best in the league against the run.

However, the Jacksonville Jaguars defense is ranked second in the NFL but some of that is attributed to how poorly the Ravens passed the ball against them.  A mere 52 passing yards.  But against the run the Jaguars defense ranks much lower at 28th in the league.

So the Jets will try to run the ball, but do they have enough offense to outscore the Jaguars?  I don’t think they do.  The Jaguars have more talent on offense and will be able to put more points up on the board in what will be a close game.

I think both defenses will play well but the Jaguars are the team with more momentum coming in.  I expect them to get the win on the road.
