  • Austin Ekeler
  • Justin Jackson
  • Troymaine Pope
  • Derek Watt
  • Melvin Gordon

Melvin Gordon is in the midst of a hold-out that has no signs of ending anytime soon. The Chargers have a good stable of backs outside of him, but do need to consider they are much better with Gordon on the field. Ekeler and Jackson have shown potential as big-play running backs in Los Angles. Pope has played well in the preseason and should make the team as insurance should Gordon’s contract dispute last into the regular season. Watt fills the fullback role for the Chargers.
