In his first year as the starting middle linebacker for the Golden Bears, Weaver managed to total a massive 88 solo tackles and 155 total tackles from the second level of the Cal defense. In addition, Weaver recorded two interceptions, one pick six, four and a half sacks, and eight and a half tackles for loss.
If impressed by his 2018 production, then his 2019 numbers will make you jump out of your seat. So far through 11 games for the Golden Bears, Weaver has already topped his solo tackle numbers with 90, recording 163 total tackles to this point in his senior campaign. He has also topped his tackles behind the line of scrimmage with 11.5 and has also tallied two and a half sacks.
