Three of Auburn’s top defensive linemen have accepted invites to the Senior Bowl, including all world Derrick Brown.

More from With the First Pick

5 Derrick Brown 6’5 318 DT Senior

Brown could be the most physically dominant defensive tackle in the nation, he evokes the memories of one Ndamukong Suh during his Nebraska career. Brown has the athleticism of a much smaller tackle as well as the brute force. He’s the most complete defensive tackle in all of college football. He has a really high motor and will pursue the backside with relentless energy. Possesses a really quick first step off the snap as well as an arsenal of pass rush moves to counter the blocker.

3 Marlon Davidson 6’3 278 EDGE Senior

Davidson is a great player in his own right on the famed and feared defensive line for the Tigers. He holds up well at the point of attack in the run game. The footwork isn’t the best but he has developed that deficiency a lot this season. Has some athleticism that’s evident in limited bursts but is primarily a stout run defender. He needs to develop some of the more technical aspects of pass rushing for the next level.  At worst, he’s a two-down player to begin his pro career. At best, he goes to a team with an excellent defensive line coach to further refine his pass rush skill set.

91 Nick Coe 6’5 291 EDGE Redshirt Junior

He’s another solid run defender but is more experienced as playing different positions than his defensive line counterparts. He has played both tackle and end so teams will love that versatility. Has good hand usage to keep the blocker at bay and knows how and when to utilize them. He has improved on the technical side of things as an edge rusher this season by leaps and bounds.

1 Big Kat Bryant 6’5 247 EDGE Junior

Bryant has finally got some major reps this season. He’s more likely to stay for a senior season than declare after such few opportunities to put any film together. An athlete playing EDGE but quickly learning the finer points of the position.
