TE. Cincinnati. Josiah Deguara. 83. 830. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player

Josiah Deguara is largely considered the highest rank NFL prospect in this game. And for good reason. Deguara has solid size for the tight end position in the NFL at 6-foot-3 and 240 pounds. While he is not the most athletic tight end in the game, Deguara gets the job done in other ways including being a good route runner. He has parlayed that into a very good season as the second-leading receiver for the Bearcats. So far this season, Deguara has tallied 34 catches, 470 yards, and seven touchdowns.

More from With the First Pick

As stated earlier, Deguara is not the most athletic player at a position that has become more and more athletic in recent years. What he lacks in athleticism though, he makes up for in smarts and versatility. He consistently gets open with good route running as well as the ability to find the hole against zone coverage. He is also a solid in-line blocker in the run game. That allows Cincinnati to line him up in various spots, find the mismatch, and use him in a large variety of ways.

Deguara had a solid game against the Tigers a week ago with four catches for 46 yards. He will need to be a big part of the offense once again if the Bearcats hope to come out with the win this time around. Watch to see where he lines up in the formation and who the Bearcats try to match him up against on passing plays.
