The Seattle Seahawks are just one of those teams that you look at on paper and say “they is no way that they can make it to playoffs.” Every single year we count Russel Wilson out, why do we even try anymore. They have, however, struggled with their first round picks in the draft; maybe the 2020 NFL Draft will shift their fortunes.

If Lamar Jackson (the Ravens quarterback) did not have such an amazing season last year, Wilson would have been the league M.V.P. All of the Seahawks starting running backs got hurt, they had to bring back Marshawn Lynch for a few weeks.

Since 2012, the Seattle Seahawks have traded down in the draft or have traded their first-round pick away. You can expect the Seahawks to do the same thing in this year’s draft. One GM told Peter King in Football Morning in America, “Only two sure things in this draft: Joe Borrow to the Bengals and John Schneider trades down in the first round.”

Here’s a list of the times that the Seahawks have either traded down or traded away their first-round pick:

In 2019, Seattle traded down from 21 to 30.

In 2018, Seattle traded down from 18 to 27.

In 2017, Seattle traded down from 26 to 31, then down again from 31 to 34, then from 34 to 35.

In 2016, Seattle traded down from 26 to 31.

In 2015, Seattle traded its first-round pick to acquire Jimmy Graham from the Saints.

In 2014, Seattle traded down from 32 to 40, then down again from 40 to 45.

In 2013, Seattle traded its first-round pick to acquire Percy Harvin from the Vikings.

In 2012, Seattle traded down from 12 to 15.
