Where do Eagles go from here after potential trade of Carson Wentz?
By Cory Kinnan
It looks as though there is a new day upon the Philadelphia Eagles and their quarterback room. Wentz struggled to find any success with the Eagles this season, which led to him being benched for second round pick Jalen Hurts at the end of the season.
On the year, Wentz threw for just over 2,600 yards receiving, 16 touchdowns, and a league leading 15 interceptions. He completed just 57 percent of his passes, and finished dead last in starting quarterbacks in DVOA (a metric of efficiency). Needless to say, Wentz has not done his trade value any favors with his performance this past season, and over the last part of a year ago as well.
After the reported dysfunction between quarterback Carson Wentz and former head coach Doug Pederson (an environment that led to Pederson walking away from the job rather than caving to the organization’s wishes that leaned towards Wentz), the Eagles are now on the verge of trading the former second overall pick.

Despite his struggles this past season, the Eagles’ asking price for Wentz was still rather high. Funny enough, they may even have found a taker for their former top-two pick.
Looking at potential Wentz trade
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Wentz was still unhappy in Philadelphia despite the parting of Pederson and still wanted out. Then Schefter reported yesterday that Wentz was to happen within days. Then the steam really picked up as the Chicago Bears look to have a deal nailed down to land Wentz in exchange for Nick Foles, presumably Tarik Cohen, and a first round pick.
Where does this leave the Eagles in their search for a franchise quarterback? We take a look here.
