Predicting the NFC starting QBs for the 2023 season – NFC East

Philadelphia Eagles – Jalen Hurts.

Next.

Dallas Cowboys – Dak Prescott

Next…

New York Giants – Daniel Jones

Daniel Jones had a breakout season in 2022 and helped the Giants to the playoffs.  They also won a playoff game.  It’s clear to me that Daniel Jones is not a long-term option, and I don’t think he’ll be treated like one.

The price for Daniel Jones on a new contract is outrageous, and I think since there are some Buffalo transplants in New York, they’ll approach this situation the same way the Bills did with Tyrod Taylor and Josh Allen.

Finding a decent enough QB to win games with until the team takes a big swing on someone that could be the long-term answer.

That’s what I think will happen with the Giants and Daniel Jones, and it could position themselves in the NFC.

Washington Commanders – Sam Howell

Ron Rivera recently proclaimed Sam Howell to be the starting quarterback for the Washington Commanders.  The 2022 rookie quarterback saw limited action in 2022.  It’s unclear whether he can be the guy for them, as his sample size is very, very small.

However, I guess the only way to find out is to play him!

I’m not sure I’d go this direction as I think the Commanders have a very good roster and should pursue a more legitimate QB upgrade.
